The questions and answers from the app's Help, in full. In the app, it's behind the "?" button and uses the word you chose in Settings (patient, student…); here, "client".
5.1 — How do I send a billing message via WhatsApp? Premium
Multiple entry points:
Client card → "Request payment" button (in some places, like the Today screen, you need to long-press the card to see the Charge button).
Outstanding tab → tap the pending item → "Request payment via WhatsApp".
Action menu in the record detail.
If the client's number is registered, the app opens WhatsApp directly to the client's chat. Otherwise, it opens WhatsApp for you to select the contact manually.
5.2 — Can I customize the billing message?
Yes, at two levels:
Per record: each client can have their own text (in the record form).
Global: Settings → Default billing text. Used when the record has no custom text.
5.3 — And the reminder before an online session?
On the record, fill in the "Virtual room" field with the link (Google Meet, Zoom, etc.). On the Today screen, there are two ways to send the reminder: tap the camera icon on the session, or swipe the card right. The reminder carries the text from Settings (question 5.4) and the room link.
5.4 — Is the reminder text customizable too?
Yes. Settings → WhatsApp messages → Online reminder text. The text comes already written: "Hi! A reminder of your session [day and time]." [day and time] becomes the session's day and time ("tomorrow at 7:00 PM"); the [day and time] button below the field puts the command where the cursor is. Change it as you like. If you clear it and save, the reminder goes with just the room link.
5.5 — Is WhatsApp billing a Premium feature?
WhatsApp billing: Premium feature.
WhatsApp reminder: available on both plans. On the free plan, messages include a small "Generated by Session Flow" signature. On Premium, no branding.
5.6 — What if the client doesn't have WhatsApp registered?
The app opens WhatsApp and you select the contact manually. To have it open the chat directly, edit the record and add the client's phone number.
5.7 — Can I bill multiple outstanding items at once via WhatsApp?
Yes. When billing, the app shows everything outstanding, month by month, and you choose what goes in. The message lists it in date order, by month, with the monthly fee on one line and the total at the end, also for clients who changed billing.
5.8 — For a group, can I bill all participants?
Yes. When billing the group, the app offers three modes:
By participant: select who to bill individually.
By group: bills all pre-selected participants.
Group summary: a quick way to select all participants automatically. People are still identified in the message.
