Backup and data
The questions and answers from the app's Help, in full. In the app, it's behind the "?" button and uses the word you chose in Settings (patient, student…); here, "client".
9.1 — Where is my data stored?
On your device. If you turn on the cloud (Premium plans), a copy is also kept on Google Cloud servers in São Paulo, Brazil, to keep your devices in sync. Without the cloud, nothing leaves your device. Details in section 14.
9.2 — How do I back up?
Settings → Backup & Restore → "Export data". Generates a .json file with everything: records, sessions, settings. Save it somewhere safe (Google Drive, email, USB drive).
9.3 — How do I restore a backup?
Settings → "Import backup". Pick the .json file. Note: importing replaces current data — whatever's in the app gets erased.
9.4 — I switched phones. How do I migrate?
With the cloud on: install the app on the new phone and sign in with the same account in Settings → Cloud & privacy — your data comes down automatically. Without the cloud: back up on the old phone (Export data) → send the file to yourself (email, drive) → install the app on the new phone → Import backup. Everything migrates: records, history, settings.
9.5 — Can I recover data after uninstalling?
With the cloud on, yes: reinstall and sign in with the same account. Without the cloud, only if you backed up first — without a backup, data is lost when you uninstall. That's why we recommend exporting regularly. The phone's automatic backup (Google on Android, iCloud on iPhone) helps in some cases but doesn't replace a manual backup.
9.6 — Restoring a backup with more than 4 records on the free plan?
The app offers two options:
Subscribe to Premium and import everything (all records come in).
Pick up to 4 records to import (the rest are left out).
9.7 — "Delete all data" — what happens?
Permanently removes from the app: all records, sessions, payments, schedules and settings. It cannot be undone. With the cloud on for this device, the cloud data is deleted too — the app asks you to sign in again to confirm; your other devices stop syncing and keep what they already have. If you have a saved backup, you can import it to recover the data.
9.8 — What is the Activity log?
A list of what was done in the app, newest first: each payment received or reverted, session rescheduled, no-show recorded or undone, session cancelled or restored, extra session, pause, closing, reactivation, price and billing changes. Each line says when it happened, on which record and on which kind of device (Android, iPhone, iPad or browser). Nothing is deleted or edited line by line: undoing a payment adds a new line.
━━ Where to see it ━━
- Settings → Activity log: everything, with filters by type, period and name; tapping a line opens the record. The share button at the top exports what the filter shows as a spreadsheet.
- In each record, the History tab shows its latest lines.
- In the Sessions tab, tapping a session and choosing "What happened to this session" shows only that session's lines — including its reschedules.
━━ Good to know ━━
- What was done before the version that brought the log is assembled from what the app already kept (payments, reschedules, no-shows, cancellations, pauses, prices and billing), marked "before the log" and without a device.
- What the app does on its own is there too, marked "by the app": the sessions a day off cancels and the repairs it makes when it opens or when something arrives from the cloud.
- It does not enter any calculation (outstanding amounts, statistics, documents): it is only for reading.
- With the cloud on, it syncs with the other data; it goes in the backup; deleting a record deletes its log; "Delete all data" deletes everything.
- It is in every plan.
